On Tuesday, Sept. 3, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Seneca Street in reference to a possible domestic disturbance where a male was assaulting a female and attempting to pull her into a car.
While responding, police were advised the suspect had gotten the woman into his vehicle and drove northbound. Police were provided with a description of the vehicle and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of North Erie Street and North 13th Street.
Police determined that two males and one female were in the vehicle. Based on an investigation at the scene, police determined that one of the males had physically assaulted his girlfriend. Police further determined that the girlfriend was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. Also in the investigation police seized marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
