Funeral services for Wilma M. Lundberg, 81, of Linn Grove, formerly of Laurens, were held Thursday, August 1, at 10 a.m. at the Summit Evangelical Free Church in Alta, with Pastor Doug Corlew officiating.
Burial will be in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery, Storm Lake. Sliefert Redig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wilma passed away Sunday, July 28, 2002, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Wilma Maxine Triggs was born April 30, 1921, the daughter of Will and Fern (Moon) Triggs in Laurens. She grew up north of Laurens where she attended country school. She accepted the Lord and was baptized at the age of 12 at the Christian Church.
On June 9, 1947, Wilma was united in marriage to Ebner Lundberg at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They made their home in Los Angeles, CA, and on their farm west of Rembrandt, where Ebner passed away on October 13, 1966. Wilma will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, doing word find puzzles, embroidery, and her flowers. She was always content and never complained.
Preceding Wilma in death were her parents, her husband Ebner, and one grandson, Ethan Lundberg.
Survivors include her four children, Evyonne and her husband Bruce Rusk of Linn Grove, Emmett Lundberg and his friend Kirsten Tucker of Moville, Bonnie and her husband Carl Nelson of Kingman, AZ, and Janice Brady of Pasadena, CA,; fourteen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle and her husband Lawrence Hanisch of Laurens; nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
