On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17, at approximately 12 p.m. the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to the area of the Buena Vista County Courthouse in reference to a disturbance.
Police were advised that a white male had caused a disturbance in the Courthouse when he began yelling at a Assistant County Attorney in reference to a Juvenile Court matter. Police were advised the subject had departed the Courthouse and was agitated.
Shortly after this incident a male subject entered the Storm Lake Police Department lobby and had words with office staff at that location then he departed.
Police located the subject at a residence located at 1016 North Ontario Street identified as Brian Miller, age 25 of Storm Lake. Police determined the subject was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance and arrested him for Public Intoxication. Upon taking Miller into custody he advised he had inhaled an amount of anhydrous ammonia.
Police transported Miller to the Buena Vista County Regional Medial Center where he was examined and released for incarceration.
Miller was transferred to the County Jail where Storm Lake Police charged him with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. He was held on $650 cash bond.
