SL Library to be offering free program for kids

Program for preschoolers and elementary students

The Storm Lake Public Library is offering free program for preschoolers and elementary students from July 2 through August 2. This year's State Library of Iowa Summer Reading theme is "Join the Winner's Circle: Read! Programming will be sports-related, and will be of interest to both boys and girls. Summer Reading is sponsored by the Friends of the Storm Lake Public Library and the Witter Gallery.

Preschool story time will be offered each Tuesday in July. Sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last 30 - 45 minutes. All children ages three through those entering Kindergarten this fall are welcome.

Sessions for elementary students will be offered each Friday in July. The programs will be at 10:30 a.m. and will last about 45 minutes. Prizes will be awarded to those who complete their reading logs.

The Summer Reading Grand Finale will be held on Friday, August 2, at 2:30 p.m. All ages are invited to attend Treasure Village Children's Theatre's performance of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". The play will be held in the Witter Gallery and is free of charge.
