Sioux Central takes NW Conference golf tourney

Andy Meister fired a 38 to capture medalist honors in leading Sioux Central to the team title in a Northwest Conference boys golf tournament played Monday at Storm Lake Municipal.

Sioux Central finished with a team score of 162 strokes. Newell-Fonda was second at 163, followed by Aurelia at 178, Sac City at 185, Pomeroy-Palmer at 198, Schaller-Crestland at 203, Albert City-Truesdale at 206, Alta at 210 and Storm Lake St. Mary's at 213.

Travis Vaudt carded a 40 for Sioux Central, while Brandon McClatchey golfed a 41 and Drew Barglof a 43.

A.J. Kelly led Newell-Fonda with a 39. Travis Peterson golfed a 40, Jesse Rieman a 41 and Aaron Gehrig a 43.

Bill Weathers had the low score for Aurelia with a 43. Eric Sonksen finished with a 44, Kolin Peterson a 45 and Keith Kistenmacher a 46.

Schaller-Crestland was led by Jacob Myrtue's 46. Nathan Johnson carded a 48, Dan Determan a 51 and Chris Bendixen a 58.

Caleb Garberding led AC-T with a 46. Tim Hogrefe golfed a 51, Jason Lindsay a 54 and Kirk Struss a 55.

Alta received a 46 from Brad Bunjes. Josh Droegmiller shot a 52, Kevin Grieme a 55 and Jake Galligan a 57.

Nick Netsch led St. Mary's with a 50. Ryne Paterson carded a 52, Nick Brown golfed a 54 and Joey McCollum a 57.
