BV splits pair at Rebel Games

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Kara Rea scattered seven hits in going the distance as Buena Vista knocked off the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 7-2 at the Rebel Games on Tuesday in Kissimmee, Fla.

Rea allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three over seven innings.

Buena Vista scored three runs in the first inning and three more in the sixth. Abby Lance belted a pair of doubles. Katie Onken blasted an RBI triple, while Holly Protexter and Lindsey Roberts each had an RBI.

Buena Vista suffered a 10-1 defeat to St. Olaf in the first game of the day. The Beavers were victimized by six errors. Gelene Bousum and Kelly Kalvelage combined to allow nine hits and five earned runs. Bousum suffered the loss.

Bousum went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Beavers, now 2-7 overall.
