In sports, the biggest athlete doesn't always win. Sometimes the little guy can be quicker and more flexible. Sometimes, that works for school systems, too.
St. Mary's has become one of the first districts in northwest Iowa - of any size - to establish a wireless portable computer lab.
It is no small achievement. If computing power was the last revolution, computing mobility and interaction is the current one. St. Mary's students will understand that before they graduate into it.
Others will certainly follow this trend. But one of the very smallest schools in this case was the leader. Congratulations to the staff and administrators, as well as the Catholic Schools Foundation and the local donors of funds who helped to make it happen.
