Springers Blue team takes first-place honors at meet

FAIRMONT, Minn. - The Storm Lake Springers gymnastics teams traveled to Fairmont, Minn., on Sunday for the March of Dimes meet.

The Blue team took first place with a score of 124.1 and the Pink team took fourth place with a score of 97.6.

In the novice age 9-and-under division, Ashley Anderson placed first on beam, floor and in all-around, second on bars, and third on vault. Jordan Henningsen placed first on bars and vault, second in all-around, third on beam, and fourth on floor. Nicole Martin placed first on vault, second on beam, and third on bars and in all-around.

Iwa Chanthavong placed second on vault and sixth in all-around. Tori Peck placed third on vault, and sixth on bars and beam. Megan Thompson placed sixth on vault and floor. Lesa Turnquist placed third on floor, and fifth on bars and in all-around.

Brittny Rebuhn placed first on bars, floor and in all-around, third on beam, and fourth on vault in the children's age 10-11 division.

In the juniors age 12-13 division, Kayla Block placed first on floor, second on beam, and third on bars and in all-around.

Krystina Furst placed third on floor, fourth on vault, and fifth on bars and in all-around and sixth on beam. Priscilla Otto placed first on bars, beam and in all-around, second on floor and third on vault.

Megan Benz placed first on bars, and second on beam, floor, vault and in all-around in the seniors division.
