On February 10, sometime after 8 a.m., an accident occurred in the Iowa Office Supply parking lot in the 100 block of East 7th Street. A 1997 Ford, owned by Iowa Office Supply, 731 Lake Avenue, was parked in the parking lot. A 1993 Chevy truck, driven by Dennis Kessler, 59, 212 Geneseo Street, while removing snow in the parking lot, backed into the Iowa Office Supply vehicle. Damage was estimated at $900 to the Iowa Office Supply vehicle and none to the Kessler vehicle.
On February 11, at 8:37 a.m., an accident occurred at the intersection of Tulip Lane and Expansion Blvd. A 1995 Ford Regional Transit Authority bus driven by Robert Verdoorn, 29, Webb, was westbound on Tulip Lane turning south onto Expansion Blvd. A 1993 Buick, driven by Douglas Miller, 40, 1709 Tulip Lane, was northbound on Expansion Blvd., turning ease, slid on ice, and struck the bus. Damage was estimated at $900 to the bus and none to the Miller vehicle.
On February 11, at 5:06 p.m., an accident occurred in the 1100 block of Seneca Street. A 2000 Mercury, driven by Charlene Jeppeson, 38, Newell, was northbound on Seneca Street. A 1995 Chevy, driven by Melissa Alonso-Mendez, 28, 1132 Seneca Street, was backing out of a private drive and struck the Jeppeson vehicle. Alonso-Mendez was charged with Unsafe Backing. Damage was estimated at $950 to the Jeppeson vehicle and none to the Alonso-Mendez vehicle.
On February 11, at 2:40 p.m., an accident occurred at the intersection of 12th Street and Lake Avenue. A 1998 Mercury, driven by Mathilda Bartels, 81, 1116 Lincoln Road, was westbound on 12th Street. A 1986 Mercury, driven by Bernice Ritchie, 91, 1317 Seneca Street, southbound on Lake Avenue, ran the red light. The vehicles collided. Ritchie was charge with Stop Light Violation. Damage was estimated at $450 to the Bartel's vehicle and $500 to the Ritchie vehicle.
On January 31, at 3:09 p.m. an accident was reported that occurred sometime between January 5 and January 30, at 209 Otsego Street. A 1987 Ford, driven by Jose Valle-Juarez, 31, 216 Ontario Street #3, While backing out of his driveway, crossed the alley and struck a garage owned by Cindy Kruse, 209 Otsego Street. Damage was estimated at $300 to the Valle-Juarez vehicle and $400 to the garage.
On February 8, at an unknown time, a hit and run accident occurred in the IBP parking lot, 300 Flindt Drive. A 1994 Mercury, owned b Ramon Garcia, 1118 Erie Street, was parked in the parking lot when it was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene. Estimated damage to the Garcia vehicle was $500.
On February 11, an employee of Planned Parenthood, 720 Erie Street, reported the lock on an outside mailbox broken off. Damage was estimated at $5.
