VANDALISM

On Thursday February 7, Cynthia Morse of 1012 Mae Street, reported damage to the tires of her car while parked in the 1300 block of Michigan Street. Damage was estimated at $200.

On Thursday, February 7, Julie Treinen of Albert City reported damage to the tires of her car while parked at 1326 Michigan Street. Damage was estimated at $350.

On Thursday, February 7, Shirley Drzycimski of 1120 Lincoln Road, reported damage to the tires of her car while parked at 1326 Michigan Street. Damage was estimated at $400.

ACCIDENTS

On February 8, at 11:21 a.m., an accident occurred at the intersection of 12th Street and Lake Avenue. A 1992 Oldsmobile, driven by Mitchell Olson, 41, of Sioux Falls, SD., was northbound of Lake Avenue. A 2001 Volkswagen, driven by Joseph Dusing, 23, Lakeside, was southbound on Lake Avenue attempting to turn east onto East 12th Street. The Dusing vehicle failed to yield and was struck by the Olson vehicle. Dusing was charged with Failure to Yield on a Left Turn. Damage to the vehicles is estimated at $4,000 for the Olson vehicle and $3,000 for the Dusing vehicle.

On February 10, at 12:05 a.m. an accident occurred in the parking lot of 100 East Railroad Street. A 1995 Dodge, driven by Dawn Ramirez, 37, of Marathon, was driving eastbound in the parking lot. A 1984 Ford, driven b Alberto Najera, 23, of Buckeye, AZ., was backing out of a parking space and struck the Ramirez vehicle. Damage to the vehicles is estimated at $600 for the Ramirez vehicle and none for the Najera vehicle.

On February 9, at 11:49 p.m., an accident occurred in the 900 block of West 5th Street. A 1999 Pontiac, driven by John Synarong, 18, 1612 Rose Lane, eastbound on West 5th Street, lost control on snow and ice, and struck a no parking sign owned by the City of Storm Lake. Damage to the Synarong vehicle was estimated at $800. Damage to the no parking sign was estimated at $100.
