The Beavers moved their league mark to 11-0 with a sound 71-53 victory over Central College on Saturday night at Siebens Center.
Jeremy Holmes scored 20 points to lead three players in double figures as the Beavers extended their winning streak to 12 games and improved to 15-3 overall.
Buena Vista shot 41 percent in the first half to take a 38-31 halftime lead, but the Beavers scored the first nine points of the second half to go ahead 47-31. Buena Vista, which shot 46 percent in the second half, held Central to just 10 points in the second half until the 5-minute mark. The Beavers outscored the Dutch 33-22 in the second half.
Buena Vista made 25 of 58 field goals for 43 percent. Central was 18 of 57 for 32 percent.
Adam Jones and Scott Weber scored 12 points apiece.
Buena Vista outrebounded Central 39-36. Jones, Chris Petersen and Casey Pelzer all had seven rebounds, while Weber added five. Holmes, Pelzer and Quinn Hildman all had three assists. Pelzer also had three steals.
Buena Vista plays at Cornell and Coe this weekend.
