Dykema receives Distinguished Service Award
Dennis Dykema, emeritus professor of art at Buena Vista University, received the Distinguished Service Award at the fall conference of the Art Educators of Iowa.
The award is given to individuals who have offered their time and talents in service art education in the state of Iowa. Dykema was honored for making a difference in the lives of many future artists and art educators throughout his career.
Two SL natives named to Beloit Dean's List
Beloit College has announced that sophomores Coryn I. Inglis-Steinfeld and Nicholas P. Bowers, both of Storm Lake, have achieved academic distinction during the fall term of the academic year and have been named to the Dean's list, which recognizes students who have maintained at least 3.4 cumulative grade point average for the semester.
Watson graduates from Northwest Missouri St.
The Office of the Registrar at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo., is pleased to announce that Adam J. Watson of Schaller received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from the university at the conclusion of the 2001 fall trimester.
Watson is one of 204 students receiving Bachelor of Science degrees at the end of the trimester.
Halverson, Simons receive NWMS honors
The Office of the Registrar at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Halverson of Sioux Rapids and Abby Simons of Storm Lake were named to academic honor rolls at the end of the 2001 fall trimester.
Students named to the Academic Honor Roll attained a grade point average of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale with a minimum of 12 credit hours, while students named to the President's Honor Roll earned a perfect 4.00 GPA for the trimester.
Halverson was named to the President's Honor Roll while Simons was named to the Academic Honor Roll.
