DUBUQUE - The streak is now eight and counting.
Buena Vista had no problem winning its eighth straight game as the Beavers shot 57 percent to pummel Loras College 94-70 in an Iowa Conference game on Saturday night at Dubuque.
Buena Vista, now 7-0 in the league and 11-3 overall, shot 61 percent in the first half to take a 49-32 lead at the break. The Beavers shot 52 percent in the second half to outscore the Duhawks 45-38.
Buena Vista made 37 of 65 field goals for 57 percent, including 7 of 14 from 3-point range. Loras was 27 of 63 for 43 percent.
Adam Jones scored 28 points to lead Buena Vista, including 6 of 8 from 3-point range. He made 11 of 13 field goals overall. Chris Petersen scored 14 points and Robby Beyer 11. Scott Weber and Scott Swalley each had eight.
Buena Vista outrebounded Loras 43-26. Weber cleared five, while Swalley, Beyer, Jeremy Holmes, Mike Cameron and Brandon Kies all had four.
Rod Wiebers handed out six assists, while Swalley and Casey Pelzer each had three. Pelzer also charted three steals.
Buena Vista plays host to Luther and Upper Iowa this weekend.
