Two arrested after disturbance at SL residence

On the evening of Tuesday, December 11, at approximately 9:08 p.m., the Storm Lake Police Department was dispatched to 720 1/2 Russell Street in reference to a possible assault.

Police met with a subject who advised that a disturbance had just occurred at his residence and that some of the people may be at the Kum and Go convenience Store on Flindt Drive. Additional Police units responded to the Kum and Go and located three other subjects involved in the disturbance.

After an investigation, police determined that the three subjects at Kum and Go had arrived at the residence on Russell Street where they were told to leave by the occupant. An argument ensued and a metal figurine was thrown at the occupant of the residence. The resident threw the figurine back at the suspects breaking the windshield on the vehicle.

Based on information collected a the scene, police arrested Deb Keck, 34, of Albert City, and charged her with Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. She was booked into the Buena Vista County jail on $650 cash bond.

Police further arrested Jonathan Markley, 18, of Havelock and charged him with Disorderly Conducted. He was processed and released pending a court date.

No injuries were reported.
