"The kids who placed for us really did wrestle well and had a good day," Storm Lake coach Ty Seaman said. "Both Dylan and Jared wrestled well to get to the finals and also showed some good things in their losses in the finals to really good kids. Dylan wrestled a four-point match with a state champion from last year and was really close to scoring a couple more times."
"We also had some kids who just weren't mentally ready to wrestle and that was disappointing to see," Seaman added. "We have talked a lot about being ready to wrestle and at times we weren't."
"Overall, I think we still showed some progress and we will work real hard the next two weeks before break to keep getting better each time out on the mat."

"The kids competed well and gave a good effort throughout the day," AGH coach Scott Phelps said. "We lost a lot of close matches where we made little mistakes to beat ourselves. A lot of that is because of the inexperience of our kids. These mistakes are correctable mistakes that we will take care of as the season progresses."
