Tryouts are over and rehearsals are underway for the Newell-Fonda All-School Play, "Yard Sale," to be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 in the old gym.
The director is Diane Vanderhoff and newcomer Bill Henrich who is taking over for Steve Mackey who will work on set design this year. Student assistant director is Carissa Peiffer.
Yard Sale is a 2-act play set in Babbington Mansion, which is an old house that serves as lodging for college students from the nearby university. It's strict policy to rent only to students bends a little when financial troubles arise. Any form of money making becomes welcome as desperation sets in. Mrs. Babbington (played by Christa Fitch), along with her niece, nephew and tenants go through many comical ups and downs as they try to save their precious home.
