Martha Bunker, 82 of Sac City, died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.
Funeral Services were held yesterday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City.
Martha Bunker was born May 19, 1919, to John and Sarah (Schoneboom) Bruns in Breda, Iowa. She attended school in Lake View and completed the 9th grade.
On Sept. 2, 1939, Martha was married to Gerald Bunker in Fort Dodge. The couple has lived in Sac City since that time.
She was employed at Priebe & Sons Produce, Duffy's Produce and Nobel Manufacturing in Sac City.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City for over 60 years. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and bingo.
Martha's family includes daughter Sharon Neitzke, Panama; son Gary Bunker, Sac City; grandchildren Rhonda Burbridge, Woodbine, Holly DeMarque, Council Bluffs, and Dawn-Marie Bunker, Chandler, Ariz.; great-grandchildren Tyler and Ashley Burbridge, and Carly and Brook DeMarque; and a brother, Arnold Bruns, Bremerton, Wash.
Preceding Martha in death were her parents, her husband, one sister Angeline King, and six brothers, John, Alvin, Martin, Ed, Fike and Jerry.
