Funeral services for Donald Duane Buse, 66, Auburn, were October 23, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lake View, with Pastor H.W. Kramer officiating. Interment was in the Wall Lake Cemetery, Wall Lake.
Funeral arrangements were by Farber & Otteman Funeral Home, Lake View.
Donald Duane Buse from Auburn, was born August 3, 1935 at home in Sac County to John and Rosa (Voss) Buse. He was baptized at his home on August 4, 1935 and confirmed on June 26, 1949 at Peace Lutheran Church in Ulmer. He received his education from Sac County Country School.
Donald served his country honorably in the United States Army from March 1958-1960, being stationed in Germany. He also was active in the reserves from 1960-1962.
On September 3, 1961 he was married to Edna Mohr at Zion Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm in rural Carnarvon. In 1968 they moved to Ulmer on the Buse home place (now a Century Farm) where he farmed until his retirement in 1999. They were members of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View.
His hobbies included building bird houses, fishing, farming, gardening and spoiling the grandkids.
On October 21, 2001, Donald D. Buse passed away at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife Edna Buse of Auburn; children, Doris Remmers and husband Ryan of Melvin; Ruth Koenen and husband Mark of Kiron; two grandchildren, Lucas and Sarah Koenen; one sister, Darlene Ott and husband Gerald of Jefferson; brothers-in-law, Hubert Mohr of Burwell, Neb.; Marvin Mohr and wife Ruth of Ord, Neb.; Wayne Mohr and wife Ruth of Sac City; sisters-in-law, Verna Perry of Rinard; Marjorie Mohr of Odebolt; many nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rose Buse; in-laws, Elmer Mohr and wife Lizzie; brothers-in-law, Wilbert Mohr and Robert Perry.
