Anna Krick Auen, 83, passed away on September 16, 2001. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, at the Methodist Church in Schaller. Internment will be in the Schaller Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are by Farber and Otteman Funeral Home.
Anna Krick Auen of Denison, was born March 2, 1918, in Akron, to George and Della Fenn. She was baptized in the Methodist faith. Anna graduated from Moville, High School. She moved to Schaller with her parents, where she met Roy Krick and they were married, August 2, 1936. To this union was born three daughters, Sharalyn, Marilyn and Karen. They lived in Schaller for 46 years.
Roy passed away in 1982. Anna then moved to Cherokee, residing there until moving to Denison, where she married Les Auen in September of 1993. Les passed away in 1997.
Anna worked at Andy's Cafe in Schaller for 32 years, and at Central Popcorn Company for several years.
She was a member of Schaller Methodist Church, and later joined the Presbyterian Church in Denison.
Anna was avid bowler, bowling on leagues with her friends for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer in the Ground Observer's Corps in the 50s.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharalyn Flem of Fargo, N.D., Marilyn Auen and her husband, Richard of Denison, Karen Otto-Schmidt and her husband, Dan Schmidt of Cherokee, ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and two brother-in-laws, Eddie Mieras of Omaha, Neb., and Ernie Egdorf of Boyden.
Anna was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Krick and Les Auen, grand-daughter, Jodi Anne Auen, ten brothers and sisters and her parents, George and Della Fenn.
