BVU homecoming events announced

Activities have been scheduled for the Buena Vista University Homecoming event October 5-7.

Here are some highlights from this year's celebration, "All Roads Lead Back to BVU!"

Friday, Oct. 5

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Career Symposium

4 to 6 p.m. - Homecoming Parade and Alumni Celebration

Time to unwind from a busy day in the casual atmosphere of the new Lamberti Recreation Center. Catch up with college friends, longtime faculty and BVU coaches while enjoying an array of festive foods and beverages. Door prize drawings and campus tours offered.

Saturday, Oct. 6

10 a.m. - Full Campus Tours (meet at the Information Desk in the Harold Walter Siebens Forum).

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Lamberti Recreation Center Tours (meet in the lobby of the Lamberti Recreation Center)

11 a.m. - Cornerstone Guard and Alumni Awards Luncheon, Dows Conference Center, Harold Walter Siebens Forum. Alumni Reunions:

* Induction of Class of 1951

* Class of 1941 Reunion

* Class of 1931 Reunion

* Alumni of 50 Years or More Reunion

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - National Alumni Association Tailgate Barbeque, lawn south of Harold Walter Siebens Forum. Everyone is welcome! Includes the:

* Class of 1961 Reunion

* Cluster Reunion: 1965-67 Classes

* Class of 1976 Reunion

* Cluster Reunion: 1985-87 Classes

* Class of 1991 Reunion

* Kappa Tau Delta Reunion

12:15 to 1:30 p.m. - Kids' Activities. Magician, face painting and balloons inside J. Leslie Rollins Stadium gate.

1 p.m. - Buena Vista University vs. Loras College. Come cheer the Beavers on to a football victory.

Post game Fifth Quarter Fest -

All are welcome! Have a great time at this informal gathering with your BVU friends, professors and acquaintances in the Harold Walter Siebens Forum Grand Ballroom! Additional time for all class year reunions to continue their celebrations.
