'On the Fritz' for St. Mary's

Thursday, March 5, 2009

St. Mary's Ball & Charity Auction is hosting Omaha's On the Fritz Band for the March 21 Storm Lake fundraising event. For nearly 30 years On The Fritz has been entertaining crowds across the Midwest. Featuring twin brothers, Wayne and Stan Fritz, the band covers a select history of Rock and Roll music that can be enjoyed by even the most diverse audiences.

Collectively, they boast a resume that includes the release of three albums while sharing the stage with over 40 national acts. The band's experience, diversity and talent allow them to play clubs, street dances and casinos as well as wedding receptions, corporate events and private parties. The band's unmistakable success is evident in a schedule featuring an excess of 100 shows a year.

Tickets are still available to attend the St. Mary's Ball and Auction until 4 p.m. Friday, March 13. Tickets are a minimum donation of $60 and include appetizers, a Black Angus sirloin or sesame chicken pillow meal, beer and wine (courtesy of Central Bank) and dancing to On the Fritz. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Donors contributing $100 or more per person can attend the Fratzke-Jensen Pyramid Preview Party at 5:15 p.m. for an intimate gathering before the main event. Attendees will enjoy appetizers, an open bar and a chance to win two $200 cash door prizes from Malarky's.

Tickets to the event, or for $100 raffle tickets can be purchased on-line at stormlakecatholic.com, calling 732-3110 or by stopping by the St. Mary's Parish Office. Proceeds assist St. Mary's Parish in financing the operation of St. Mary's preK-12 Catholic School. Last year's event netted over $72,000.
