One of the finest college based dance companies will come to the Lauridsen Performing Arts Theatre stage in Okoboji Saturday, April 25, with showtime ar 7:30 p.m.
The University of Iowa's Dancers in Company return to the Lakes Art Center for an anwaly-entertaining show. Dancers in Company is comprised of graduate and undergraduate students selected through a rigorous audition process. Their performance will be a combination of jazz, ballet and modern dance - something U of I is known for! They will also host a workshop for area dance students.

This season's tour will take the company not only throughout Iowa, but also to a weeklong residency in Puebla, Mexico, through a new exchange with the University of the Americas. A national Mexican TV channel will document the Dancers in Company residency, including two performances.
The 2009 repertory features: "Concerto Vivaldi," a contemporary ballet faculty members, "Woman" by Thaddeus Davisala, "Valse-Fantasie" taught to the company by New York City Ballet veteran Leslie Peck, the espionage spoof "Sax and Violence" and more.
