Storm Lake Pilot Tribune: Obituaries: Jose Flores Najera, Sr. (02/24/09)

Jose Flores Najera, Sr., of Sibley died on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 in a car accident in Mexico on his way to visit his family. His funeral was Feb. 17, in Lerdo, Durango, Mexico.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Eneida, and son Jose, Jr., daughter Alexandra and step-daughter Carla, his parents, sibling of Lerdo, Durango, Mexico and other relatives and friends in Mexico and the United States.

Jose "Pepe" was a fun loving, happy, respectful person who worked hard to provide for his family. He spoke the English language well and he loved to garden and renovate houses.

Once while looking at pictures of his son he said, "The day Jose was born was the happiest day of my life."
