East Fifth Salon has new ownership
After instructing at Faust Institute for ten years and working in salons for several years, Jami Langner says it was her dream to own her own salon - her dream came true this past year. Langner purchased East Fifth Salon from Melinda Kimblad, who returned to work at the Expertease Salon. Kimblad originally worked at Expertease Salon but then left to open up her own salon - East Fifth and then returned to Expertease after the salon moved to a building uptown.
Langner graduated from Faust Institute in Storm Lake in 1995 and moved to Sioux City to work at Regis Salon. Jami and her husband Eric then moved to Ankeny where she worked at We Care Hair Salon and Great Clips. She moved back to the area in 1997 and began teaching at Faust. Langner has been at East Fifth for about six years. Langner says she plans to do some remodelling, painting and working on some new displays for the salon and give it a fresh new look.
Look for an upcoming customer appreciation day this summer at the salon.
East Fifth Salon has been open in Storm Lake since 2000.
