50th Annual B.V. County Pork Producers banquet to be held Feb. 21

To celebrate 50 years of Pork Production in Buena Vista County, the B.V. County Pork Producers will be holding their annual banquet, Feb. 21 at Buena Vista University. The first county president Leon Haahr and first county Pork Queen Linda McKibben Boettcher will be present to share a few words about their experience with the Pork Producers. All past county presidents, queens and pigtails are asked to attend and to bring their scrapbooks, sashes, and crowns if possible and share their own memories about their Pork industry. Along with speakers, there will be the annual pie auction, a video presentation of the past 50 years in B.V. County, and as always, good food and good people. Social hour begins at 5:30. Come help the B.V. Pork Producers celebrate this momentous occasion with fun and fellowship, and, as ever, good pork.
