Regatta Grille to feature romantic weekend for sweethearts

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Regatta Grille at King's Pointe has a romantic weekend planned for Valentine's sweethearts. In addition to their regular full menu Jody Hocking, Food and Beverage Manager at King's Pointe says they will be serving some valentine specials on their food and drink menu.

One special is a dinner for two and includes a full course meal with appetizers, soup or salad, potatoes and sauteed vegetables and a dessert, other specials include appetizers that are great meant for sharing and Veal Medallions and prime rib. Hocking says a number of red drinks will be availlable to order including strawberry margaritas and daquiris as well as champagne.

Music will be provided by 'The Expressions' at the restaurant and Hocking says there will be room for couples who want to dance. In November the restaurant began providing musical entertainment for diners on Friday nights. "We decided it was going over fairly well so we added Saturday nights," he says. This summer diners will be able to enjoy music outdoors. Couples who want a little bit more quiet spot on Valentine's Day can enjoy a seat near the fireplace in the lobby just outside the restaurant. Hocking says the Indoor waterpark will be open for children.

King's Pointe is offering a special romantic get-a-way for couples (Kid's optional) for a two night stay at the hotel that includes champagne, two souvenir champagne flutes, chocolate truffles, movie passes and a free dessert at the Regatta Grille.

Hocking recommends making reservations for Valentine's Day. "We have an excellant band, it'll be a good time," he says.
