1 dead in Iowa school bus crash

MARION - One person is dead after the car he was driving collided with a school bus in Marion.

Police say the accident happened just after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when the car struck the Cedar Rapids school bus as the bus turned onto Iowa Highway 100.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old Tyler Nathan Toll of Robins, was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Police say there were 10 students on the bus but none of them were hurt. The students were transferred to another bus and taken to school.
