'Focus On Marriage' live telecast at Summit Church Feb. 28

Thursday, February 5, 2009

What does your relationship look like through God's eyes? Focus on Marriage will give you a new perspective - and help you understand the higher purpose of your marriage, while providing practical insights and tools to help with everyday issues.

This first-ever national marriage simulcast event broadcasts live from Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado via CCN.tv and will reach more than 100,000 people. Speakers include nationally known authors and presenters Del Tackett, Beth Moore, Gary Smalley, John Trent, Jeremy Camp and more.

When couples learn to see their marriage through God's eyes, something incredible happens: their relationship is transformed and they begin to understand the divine motivation and purpose - why He brought them together, says Doug Corlew, Senior Pastor at Summit Church. The results? Deepened feelings, improved communication, dynamic change in day-to-day interactions - healthier families, churches and communities.

"What an incredible opportunity we have to influence marriages through this conference," says Jim Daly, president and CEO of Focus on the Family. "Our goal is to use this event as a springboard to equip couples long-term in their relationships in ways that are practical and affirming. We anticipate a powerful weekend for marriages."

No reservation necessary, but a limited supply of $10 tickets are currently available from Summit Church, then the cost will be $25 each, with special rates for military families. Lunch will be on your own during the noon hour. RSVP to office@SUMMITefc.com or 712-200-2200.

The live teleconference complements other marriage-related opportunities at Summit Church. The movie "Fireproof" will play at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15. And the companion study series "Fireproof My Marriage" is one of the Adult Bible Fellowship options at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning at Summit. The class also uses "The Love Dare" a practical companion devotional book mentioned in the movie.

Summit Church is located at 1000 South Main Street in Alta. For more information, or to register at Summit or any other host church, visit http://ccn.tv/focusonmarriage/ or www.SUMMITefc.com
