SIOUX RAPIDS - The Sioux Central girls basketball team picked up their third win of the season as they controlled the tempo and the glass in a 58-24 decision over Aurelia Friday night.
The Rebels outrebounded Aurelia 38 to 32 and came up with 15 steals as they advanced to 3-2 on the season.
Sioux Central's Grace Rehnstrom led all scorers with 20 points. Brooke Scharn added 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals, and Morgan Walker totaled 10 points and 10 boards.
Meghan Glawe led the Bulldogs with nine points and ten rebounds as Aurelia dropped their third straight.
Aurelia continues to search for its shooting touch as they made just nine of 36 attempts (25%). Sioux Central made 25 of 68 shots for a 37% outing from the field.
The Bulldogs take the court again tonight when they travel to Laurens-Marathon to take on the Chargers. Meanwhile, the Rebels head to Newell tonight to take on the Mustangs.
