"Nashville Star" finalist Shawn Mayer is coming home.
She will appear in concert Saturday at the Clay County Regional Event Center in Spencer, with showtime at 8 p.m.
The Nashville Star reunion show features 2008 winner Melissa Lawson with her hit "What If It All Goes Right," and fellow finalist Gabe Garcia and Coffey.
Tickets are $44, $34, & $24 at the box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge-by-phone at 712-262-4554.
Shawn, the 21-year-old volunteer firefighter from tiny May City, says, "We just had the largest showcase you could possibly ask for in front of the industry and in front of America, We've gained so many fans, and we're so thankful for that. And one thing is, it's truly a stepping stone for our careers."
For Mayer, self-confidence was her biggest challenge on the show.
"I was an extremely self-conscious person," she said. "I didn't - couldn't, like, look at myself in the mirror. I was constantly comparing myself to the other artists on the show going man... they're so good."
"You know, Shawn has grown leaps and bounds in this process," Lawson said. "I'm so proud of her."
