Beginning Nov. 14, Amerihost Inn in Storm Lake announced that they will proudly serve the community as Baymont Inn and Suites Hotel. As the hotel prepares to make the switch, hotel officials say they will continue to work on some remodeling projects to give the hotel a newer and fresher look.
Hotel owner Sunny Walia said the renovated rooms will include new drapes, carpeting and some new furniture will be added in the future. General Manager Sharon Eddy says they've done some renovations already on the lobby including buying new furniture and putting in a new granite countertop at the registration desk. A breakfast bar that was originally located in the lobby was moved to a new continental breakfast room.
When renovations are complet, the hotel will feature 60 guest rooms. The Baymont Inn and Suites brand encompasses 130 hotels representing 11,545 rooms throughout the United States. Walia and Eddy say the midscale brand features high-speed internet access, guest voice mail, free local calls, complimentary USA Today, expanded continental breakfast with a homemade waffle maker, indoor pool and spa, exercise room, guest laundry and business center.
"By joining Baymont Inn and Suites system and upgrading our hotel to Baymont standards, we are demonstrating our commitment to quality and guest service. We are proud to be joining the Baymont Inn & Suites family and will continue providing you with high-quality accomodations at the best possible value," says Walia and Eddy. According to Eddy the hotel has been in business for 11 years and say they appreciate the continued support of the Storm Lake area and surrounding communities.
