Trick or treating at FHC

All children are invited to trick or treat at Faith, Hope and Charity from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Halloween night.

Singles Dance

Pheasants Forever Annual Banquet

The Pocahontas County Pheasants Forever will be holding their 23rd Annual Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at the Pocahontas County Expo Center in Pocahontas. The evening will start off with a social hour featuring games and raffles and will be capped off with a ribeye dinner and live auction. All proceeds raised at the PF Banquet will be used for habitat and youth events in Pocahontas County. Harvest Dinner in Albert City

Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albert City, is having their Harvest Dinner on Nov. 2nd from 11:30-12:30. There is a free will donation and carry outs will be available.

Harvest Dinner in Aurelia

The First United Methodist Church in Aurelia, will be holding their Annual Fall Harvest Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The menu will include: Turkey and dressing, ham balls, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, salad bar, bun, assorted desserts, coffee and milk.

Cost for Adults and grades 6-12 is $7, grades K-5 is $3 and preschool and younger eat for free. Carry-outs will also be available by calling 434-5994.

Veterans Day Dinner at Buena Vista County Historical Society Museum

Everyone is welcome to the Veterans Day soup and pie dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The meal will be held at the Buena Vista County Historical Society Museum, 214 West. 5th. Mess hall hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Three homemade soups: Chili, chicken noodle and potato, will be served along with relishes, crackers, pie and ice cream. The cost is $6, with the second bowl of soup for $2. Carryouts will be available, however you will need to bring your own soup container.

AA meetings held every week

AA Meetings are held every Thursday at noon At St. Mark's Church and every Saturday at 8 p.m. at St. John's (basement).

On Nov. 2, a spanish meeting will be held at St. Mary's church at 3 p.m.
