Holly Pearson of Everly has been promoted to economic development coordinator at the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. She has been employed with the Corridor since August 2006 as the research and communications assistant.
"Holly has been a great asset to our organization, especially in our entrepreneurial and workforce initiatives," said Kathy J. Evert, president and CEO. "She continues to take on more of our work in the field with entrepreneurs, business and industries and continuously learns and grows in the economic development profession," said Evert.
As economic development coordinator, Pearson will continue her role in the Corridor's economic gardening program and assist entrepreneurs and businesses in demographic and market research, help coordinate the many entrepreneurial training programs for adults and youth in the region as well as continue to maintain the regional employment directory, participate in job fairs on college campuses and organize a regional job fair in the spring. She will become more active in economic development associations and begin the training program which may lead to her certification in economic development in the future.
