Thursday, October 9, 2008

After 34 years, Dr. Jon Hruska will be retiring his family practice at Trimark Family Health on Oct. 30, 2008. "It has been an honor to have been trusted with the care of so many wonderful families and patients during my time with Family Health Center," says Huruska. "As a valued patient, you can be assured that you will continue to receive the care that you are accustomed to at the Trimark Family Health Center."

Hruska says Dr. Jason Huisenga of Lake City will be joining the Trimark family next year. He will be at the clinic in January and then join the staff full time late summer 2009. Huisenga attended Des Moines Medical School and is currently in his third year of family year medicine residency at the Sioux City Family Practice Residency Program. He will be join the clinic in January during his rotation and then will come on full staff in late summer 2009.

Hruska said during the interim care will continue to be provided by Dr. Joan Nilles, Dr. Tim Daniels and Dr. Mark Schultz. "All of the physisians and staff at Trimark Family Health will do our part to ensure the transition is smooth and that you receive excellant care."

Hruska originally from Belmond, Iowa says he moved to Storm Lake many years not only after being recruited for the job by Dr. Gary Olsen but enjoyed the university atmosphere and the lake. He says he and his wife, Lynn, plan to travel for at least a couple years in their motorhome as well as visit their three children.
