School Board elections were held Tuesday with two candidates chosen to fill the two seats.
Incumbent Dave Turnquist was reeelcted with an unofficial vote count of 189 votes. There were six write-in names that received votes for a second seat that was vacated by Val Rosenthal.
Unofficially, Dr. Greg Kueny was the second person to receive the most votes, out of the 280 write-ins, so he will be serving on the board.
Kueny, a graduate of Alta High School, has four children attending school in the district.
He has concerns in two areas - to keep the spending under control and to make sure all kids, all ages, have their academic needs met.
The two board members will be sworn in at Monday's regular school board meeting to be held in Room 3 at 6:30 p.m.
