Ag Partners announces new position

Thursday, August 14, 2008

Due to overall business growth, Ag Partners has implemented the creation of the Area Sales Manager (ASM) position. "This new role will direct the training and development of our already dynamic sales force", states Brent Low, Sales and Marketing Team Leader.

An ASM will be responsible for understanding the localized needs of our customers and play a key link in making sure our agronomy and sales teams exceed those needs in all facets of our business.

Ronnie Smith was recently promoted to the position of Eastern Area Sales Manager, and will now oversee the sales territories serviced by Ag Partners' Albert City, Emmetsburg, and Fonda locations. As an ASM, Smith will also lead the Customer Service Reps (CSR's), Marketing Service Reps (MSR's) and Grain Field Marketers (GFM's) at these facilities.

Prior to his promotion, Smith held the position of Senior CSR for Ag Partners at the Albert City location. His prior experiences as District Sales Manager for NC+, and Agronomy Manager for a large Illinois ag retailer contributed to his past successes and gave Ronnie the qualities needed for his new role.

Ag Partners, L.L.C. provides products, services and market access in the areas of grain, agronomy, feed and petroleum. Formed in 1997, the company represents a joint venture between Alceco, an Iowa cooperative, and Cargill.

The company's locations include retail and wholesale agronomy outlets, grain facilities and feed mills throughout Iowa.
