The North American Track & Field Finals will be held August 2, 2008 in Hershey, Pennsylvania at the Henry Hershey Field.
This will be the thirty-first year that the Hershey company has held this competition to promote physical fitness as well as a fun learning experience for youth athletes interested in track and field.
The Hershey event is frequented by some of the biggest names in the sport. Some that have attended recently include Michael Johnson, Bruce Jenner, and Carl Lewis, who will be this year's honorary speaker.
Krier will be running in the 100 meter dash after competing in the standing long jump in 2006. He plays basketball and baseball on local and AAU teams, and he plays track and football for the Storm Lake St. Mary's middle school.
