Frances Spitler Daly, 93, La Mesa, Calif., died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, Calif.
Graveside services for Frances will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 27 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Aurelia. There will be no visitation. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.
Frances Phyllis Person was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Aurelia, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel (Marsh) Person. Frances graduated from Wilson High School in Cherokee in 1932. She then attended the Four C's Business College in Des Moines, graduating in 1934. She married Francis John (Frank) Spitler. They moved to California in 1951. Frank died in 1966. She later married Joseph Daly, who died in 1974. Frances enjoyed family activities.
Preceding Frances in death were her parents; two husbands; one daughter, Jane Laird; one son-in-law, Galen Boone; and one sister, Marjory Fiers.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl Boone, La Mesa, Calif.; and Nancy and her husband Tom Eddy, San Diego, Calif.; one stepson, Jack and his wife Holly Spitler, Rock Rapids; one son-in-law, Roy Laird, Kingman, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and three great-grand children.

Doris Maxine Smith, 85, Chesterfield, Mo., died June 14, 2008 at chesterfield.
Memorial services will be at noon, Saturday, July 12 at Church of the Shepherd United Methodist Church, Chesterfield, Mo., and at 3 p.m. at the Everly United Methodist Church. Burial will be July 19 in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Sioux Rapids.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents - Maurice Robbins and Ruth Marie (Schultheiss) Smith.
She is survived by her sons - Stan Fronckewiez, Lees Summit, Mo. and Jerry Smith, Grand Canyon; daughters - Sharon (Tom Petcof) Smith, Twin Lakes, Minn. and Melody (Mitchell) Miller, St. Peters, Mo.; granddaughter - Amanda Miller, St. Peters, Mo.; grandson - Grant Miller, St. Peters, Mo.
