Shannon Holmberg of Storm Lake was among 222 photographers who participated in the 28th session of MAIPP. The institute utilizes the facilities of the University of Northern Iowa to bring this unique educational experience to photographers. Students study with one of 10 nationally recognized photographers that are teaching in different fields of photography.
Holmberg's week was with Hanson Fong with the main emphasis on Mastering the Techniques - How to be a complete photographer. Subjects offered are those that will advance the individual photographer in their particular field, including portrait and fine art photography, families, children and weddings, as well as, sales and marketing skills to benefit their clients. Photographers from 20 states were represented in this 28th year of the institute, which is held for one week only during the year. MAIPP is one of the largest schools of its kind in the United States and is open to all who are pursuing a career in the professional photography industry.
