This summer, the musical "Camelot" will be staged at the Roxy, by special arrangement with Tams-Wittmark Musical Library. Show dates are scheduled for June 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th at 7:30 p.m, plus a 2 p.m. matinee on June 29th. The actors are currently in rehearsal for the debut.
This popular musical features King Arthur nervously preparing to meet his new Queen, Guinevere. In order to keep peace and stability in the kingdom, Arthur establishes the Knights of the Round Table. Included amongst these knights is the most famous of all knights, Sir Lancelot. Soon, Lancelot and Queen Guinevere fall in love. Their love is brought public with the help of Arthur's evil illegitimate son Mordred and his aunt, the sorceress Morgan le Fey. As a result, peace ends and war breaks out as Arthur's troops fight Lancelot's French army.
Stage direction for this show will be handled by Glee Crippin, a veteran of both the BVCT stage and A Touch of Broadway traveling group. Lee Thorson will be the music director.
