The Connection Classes at the high school and the middle school students gave back to the community last Friday as they got out and helped with several community projects - from washing fire trucks, to painting to planting trees to cleaning up areas after the long winter. It just so happened that the middle school students were planting trees - some 30 - and cleaning in the park the same day.
One group organized a food drive that brought in about 200 bags of food for the Lord's Cupboard. "The kids felt good about it and knew they were doing this for a good cause," said Brad Nesbitt, teacher. "They were very pleased at the Lord's Cupboard and I've heard comments from people in the community that they were glad the students were giving back."
They thank the community members for setting out donations for them to pick up.
Once again - working all together to make Alta a better place to live.
