Well-known pianist Brian Hanson to perform this Sunday at United Methodist Church

Brian Hanson's piano concerts are a unique blend of hand picked traditional favorites fom the old time hymns and gospel songs, the best of contemporary praise and worship music, and his own original compositions. He will perform at the United Methodist Church in Alta on Sunday at 7 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken. The church is located at 218 Prospect St.

Through the vehicles of beautiful piano music, audience participation and a great sense of humor, he does his best to create an atmosphere where God is exalted and glorified. He is a man on purpose; his purpose being to communicate the love of Christ through his music. And to have a really good time doing it!

Brian's accomplishments are many:

* Produced the nationally televised talk show "Worship Live" as seen on The Christian Network. He was also the Network Image Producer for The Christian Network. Additionally, his music has often been used on the network.

* He is a music score composer for film and video, composing and arranging original music for the soundtrack of The WatchWORD Bible, the world's first media Bible. This landmark project, now on DVD, was recently featured on "Living the Life" as seen on Fox Family Channel. "The Book of Revelation" from The WatchWORD Bible was the winner of two awards at The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in NYC.

*He composed music for the award winning film "Prison to Praise".

*His song "The Prayer of Jabez" was #1 for a combined 10 weeks on mp3.com's Christian Easy Listening chart.

*He is the creator of "You Can Read Music This Morning", an entertaining seminar designed to help people learn to read music quickly and easily. He has numerous successful recordings to date, and has traveled extensively over the last 27 years.

A devoted family man, Brian's greatest happiness comes from Cheryl,

his wife of 27 years, and three wonderful children.
