Sara Halverson and Chris Legore

Sara Halverson and Chris Legore, both of Ames, will be married June 28 at First United Methodist Church in Ames. A reception will follow at the Scheman Building, Ames.

Sara is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Halverson of Linn Grove. Chris is the sone of Time and Diane Legore of Mount Vernon.

Sara is a 2004 graduate of Sioux Central High School and will graduation in May from Iowa State University with a degree in graphic design. Chris is a 2003 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and will graduate in August with a mechanical engineernig degree from Iowa State.

Shayla Lang and Steve Lange

Shayla Lang and Steve Lange, both of Storm Lake, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Shayla is the daughter of Willie and Jan Lang, Storm Lake. She is employed at Central Bank.

Steve is the son of Jim and Elberta Lange, Storm Lake. He is a local farmer.

The couple has planned a June 14 wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

Elizabeth Kaiser and Brian Kempfert

Elwin (Deke) and Lisa Kempfert of Aurelia announce the engagement of their son, Brian Kempfert, to Elizabeth Kaiser, daughter of Kurt and Colene Kaiser of Denison.

Brian is a 2004 graduate of Aurelia High School and majoring in Fitness Management at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake. After completing his first major, he plans to add a degree in Physical Education and go on to teach high school health and physical education and coach. Brian currently works as a waterpark supervisor at King's Pointe Resort in Storm Lake.

Elizabeth is a 2006 graduate of Denison High School and will graduate from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa this spring. She plans to transfer to Buena Vista this fall where she will complete her Bachelor's degree in Drama Education and go on to teach high school speech and drama.

The two will be married July 11, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Denison and plan to live in Storm Lake while they complete their education.
