New frontman, new CD for EdgeFest-bound Throw the Fight

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Driving hard rock band "Throw the Fight," will make the trip from Minneapolis as one of the headline bands for EdgeFest 2008.

With its most impressive lineup to date, the alternative music festival will be held in Storm Lake's Sunset Park May 10 starting at 4 p.m.

Also on the bill are Four Word Cause, Mindrite, City Sleeps, Destrophy, Here's My Chance and Same Sick Feeling, the winner of the local band voting on sponsoring university radio station KBVU.

Throw The Fight is a straight-forward rocking, five-piece rock band that is forging a name for themselves all across the country. Having being voted as one of the top ten unsigned bands on Alternative Press magazine, they have shared stages with bands like A Wilhelm Scream, Bleed The Sky, A Static Lullaby, Lostprophets, Bowling For Soup.

Their released the EP "The Fire Within" in 2006, and then signed with Warner Music Group and embarked on the well-known Warped Tours for tour years.

A new album is due to hit stores in late June, the first to feature new frontman James Clark, formerly of 2 Ton Crunch.

TTF guitar player/vocalist Ryan Blausert says the group tries to bring something personal to every song the write.

"I think that our songs mean different things to different people. People can interpret them in a lot of ways. We just try to write from our own life experiences and hope that people can relate to that."
