National Library Week, April 13-19, will be celebrated at the Storm Lake Public Library with several new programs for the public to enjoy.
National Library Week, April 13-19, will be celebrated at the Storm Lake Public Library with several new programs for the public to enjoy:
* April 15, at 6:30 p.m., cookbook author Rachel Master will demonstrate Fried Zucchini and Marinated Chicken recipes, talk about the cookbook publishing business and share samples for her audience to enjoy. Sale of her book "Supper's on the Table, Come Home" and a book signing event will follow the demonstration.
* April 16, all day, Buseum 2 will feature exhibits on German-American Civilian Interment, 1941-1948. A bus will be parked in front of the library to share the information. The public is invited to board for self-guided tours of the mobile exhibit.
* April 17, 6:30 p.m., cartoonist and poet Dale Sorenson will bring out his guitar as he recites poetry, and will demonstrating his cartoon art. Refreshments will be provided, and a book signing will follow the program.
* April 18, 2:30 p.m., tweens and teens will enjoy an afternoon of the popular video game "Guitar Hero."
