The Buena Vista Recorder's office will hold a passport clinic on Tuesday, March 18, from 4:30-7 p.m. Persons will be able to come into the office and apply for their passports during that time. Appointments are not necessary. This will give an opportunity to those who cannot get in to the office during the Recorder's regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
You will need to produce a form of photo ID (ie: driver's license or other government issued ID).
If the applicant is under 14 years of age, the child must appear and both parents must sign the application in front of the passport agent, and produce a photo ID.
If the applicant is between the years of 14-18, applicant must sign the application in front of the agent, produce a photo ID of parent or applicant and submit a personal check for passport fee written on parent's checking account.
The fees are as follows:
16 years & older-$75.00 to US Dept of State (personal check or money order)
Under 16-$60.00 to US Dept of State (personal check or money order)
Processing fee-$25.00 to Buena Vista County Recorder (per passport)
