Gathering will be King's Pointe Resort's largest event to date

Thursday, March 6, 2008

State Farm Insurance's top-producing agents and families from three states will come together in Storm Lake this summer, a gathering that promises to break attendance records for King's Pointe Resort.

"State Farm is proud to bring the Tri-States Brand Builders event to Storm Lake," said Terry Barton, Vice President-Agency for State Farm in Iowa. "King's Pointe and Buena Vista University are beautiful and attractive locations."

More than 220 State Farm agents and their families from Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota will be in Storm Lake July 23-25, 2008. In total, about 500 people are expected to attend the Brand Builders event. While in Storm Lake, agents and their families will attend business meetings and enjoy the many recreational activities the community offers, including golfing, boating, biking, shopping and the new King's Pointe Water Park.

Qualifying agents and their families are staying at a number of locations within the community, with most business meetings planned at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.

"With the opening of King's Pointe in August, this became a premier destination for our event," said Barton, an alumnus of BVU and former Storm Lake resident.

"Storm Lake is a hidden gem in this part of Iowa," he said. "I look forward to spending time there again."
