New identity for Storm Lake walk

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

Walk America has taken its last step in Storm Lake, but never fear, the March of Dimes efffort will simply take on a new identity this year - The March for Babies.

The fundraiser walk will be held in Storm Lake on May 10, starting from Chautauqua Park shelterhouse at 9 a.m. This year's walk will cover four miles.

Registration for teams and individuals is now open.

The money raised is used locally and nationally to reduce the risk of birth defects and improve the health of babies through research and outreach programs.

Registration is now open for the Storm Lake March for Babies. Participants can register as individuals or as teams based around businesses, schools or organizations. Prizes, entertainment and activities round out the event. See marchforbabies.org or call 1-800-225-9255 for more information.
