Laurens-Marathon used a 3-point bank shot to beat Alta the first time.
Tuesday night in the rematch, the Chargers weren't so fortunate.
Jordan Henningsen scored 30 points and the Cyclones (10-11 overall) beat L-M on the road 63-51, finishing in a tie for fourth place in the Northwest Conference with Schaller-Crestland at 8-6.
"This was a big win for us tonight. L-M is a very good team and we knew that we had to play well tonight to be in the ballgame," Alta coach Jeannie Henningsen said. "Jordan had a great offensive night and Jessy (Bibler) and Cassie (Stewart) had super nights on the boards. Cassie also came off the bench and gave us 10 points to help us keep the momentum.
"We are having girls fill their roles nicely and it shows in our play."
Bibler had eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists, with Henningsen adding four assists and five steals.
Stewart posted a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, four of them offensive.
