Cyclone girls tripped by Braves

Alta's girls basketball team dropped a 72-52 non-conference decision to the Cherokee Braves here Saturday night.

Jordan Henningsen led the Cyclones with 21 points on 9-of-20 shooting, including 3-for-7 from downtown.

Jessy Bibler notched 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists. She was 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

Courtney VanHaaften added six rebounds and Kaylee Strock chipped in three assists.

The Cyclones (6-10, 5-6 Northwest Conference) get back to league action when they play host to Pomeroy-Palmer tonight at 6:30.
